“I use NoteLedge to create digital portfolios of my students work. I take pictures of what they’ve done and type what they have said or discovered. I use these to look back on to see student progress and it helps me when writing report cards and during parent interviews. I use it to communicate with parents via Twitter who follow my private school account. “
In the second edition of our NoteLedge User Stories we meet Kathryn Lagerquist, a kindergarten teacher hailing from the Great White North of Ontario, Canada. Kathryn is part of the new wave of educators embracing the innovation and creativity that technology brings to the classroom and has been using it effectively to document the progress of her students. “I like to take a picture or two then write a description or dialogue using the text box [tool]”, she explains. Researching new apps to capture her students’ work, Kathryn was able to find a home in NoteLedge.
Inspired by the curiosity of her two girls, Kathryn is constantly in search of the newest and best ways to stay up-to-date in the developments of the technological world. As an avid reader and cinephile, Kathryn is still able to bring it all together in a way we can only admire.
Special thanks to Kathryn Lagerquist from Ontario, Canada, who took the time to share her story with us today. You can follow her on Twitter at @KatLager to see how her story unfolds.
