With an app like Animation Desk, there are so many ways to express your creativity. While this brings up so many opportunities to explore your creative ideas, it can be overwhelming for people that are new to animating. Whether you are improving your art and want to get the most out of your animations, or are brand new and want to express your creativity to the fullest, here are some tips you can use for Animation Desk:
Get used to the App: Brushes, Layers, Motion
With the Creativity 365 subscription you will be able to use over 20+ brushes that let you experiment with different textures. Start with a simple brush and try each one out until you find the style that works best.
Once you get comfortable with your selected brushes, it’s time to move on to the layer work. Working with different layers allows you to add or change parts of your drawing without losing your original idea. With our new feature “Onion skin” you will now be able to see several frames at ones. This also is very useful when you want to show a progression in your animation.
As you continue to make these progressions in your animation, the image will begin to create a flow as one image transforms to another. With each new picture, you will begin to see your animation come to life!
Make a Video/Template into your Own Animation
If you are not interested in starting you animation from scratch, you can always begin with one of our templates. A template gives you a solid structure to start with, but still allows you to make a variety of changes to make the animation your own. While you are using these to help, you can also practice this tool called rotoscoping. This is also a perfect opportunity to use our holiday templates, where we give away prizes to some of the most creative animators. Check out our Halloween template below!
